Adjunct treatment
Shockwave Therapy
Radial shockwave therapy used selectively for certain persistent tendon and soft-tissue conditions.
About this service
Care that starts with your goals.
Radial shockwave therapy delivers controlled acoustic pressure waves through the skin to the treatment area. It is most often considered when a tendon or nearby attachment has remained painful despite appropriate activity changes and progressive rehabilitation.
Shockwave is not a stand-alone solution. When it is appropriate, it is combined with education, load management and a progressive exercise program that addresses the demands of work, sport or daily activity.
